Monica tried to pretend she didn't here him tell her to be quiet. She was trying so very hard to be nice and civil, but this guy wasn't making it very easy for her. She surprised herself that she was actually able to stay calm, and in character so to speak. But inside, she wanted ram her foot up his you know where. What was she a child? She wasn't some puppy to be barking orders too, and she be damned if she would take that crap from anyone.
But she had to take the crap, because she was -trying- to be nice. She wasn't lying when she said she wanted to respect the Mayor's night. But this soldier was really starting to piss her off.
Monica waited patiently while Arthrun asked his question. One hand went to her hip and her head tilted a bit. Ok, so he wanted to play hardball. Well, she could play hardball, in fact she was relieved he was deciding to act like a jerk. Now she could just....Well, be herself.
When he turned around, Monica smirked. "You just have it all figured out don't you soldier.." She chuckled some.."Oh sweetheart, I can look at your pretty face all night on the factory's security tape." She grinned. "Yeah, you know since you gave such good advice earlier. I went down to our crime lab to see what they found. And you know what they found?" She smirked."The factory had security cameras, and we just so happened to find a tape, that wasn't destroyed in the blast..."
She moved in closer. "But you see, that's not the strange part. Do wanna know how we got the tape? " She stepped back holding her hands out. "It just showed up...Out of no where...Weird huh?" Monica arched a brow and folded her arms. It was a strange the manner they had received the tape, it was almost like someone was trying to tell them something. Perhaps it was the soldier trying to clear himself, or perhaps a victim trying to get justice, or even someone scorned trying to get revenge... There was so many possibilities. But really, until she actually viewed the tape, she couldn't know for sure.
"Now don't freak out... Of course if you didn't -do- anything, why would you right?" She chuckled."We haven't viewed the tape yet so... We can do this to ways.... We can either leave here and you tell me everything you know, now....Or, I can just go up to the station and view the tape." She grinned and then took a sip of her champagne."Now if you didn't in fact to do -or- see anything, the tape will show it...And I will give you my apologies...." She moved closer, just stopping inches behind him "But if you -are- on the tape....Well....You know the rest." She said with a sly smirk.
Athrun stopped and lowered his head. He began to laugh. When he stopped laughing and turned around with a smirk on his face. "A tape huh?" he said with a grin. He turned and walked back to her. He stopped and looked at her dead in the eyes. "you wanna know so bad, you have been a detective for how long.... you never seen anything like what I do trust me Detective Sterling" He said no longer smiling.
He turned around again and walked to the door "Come on, you wanna see so bad, I will show you follow me" he said as he walked away. when he got outside and placed his cover on his head just outside the door. He pulled his keys out of his pocket and walked to his car. he unlocked the door then sat inside the car leaving the door open to show Monica he wasn't going to take off. He booted him the computer and opened a map of L.A. He then pulled out his phone and dialed a number "Hey its Knight, you have anything for me in L.A." he said into the phone "Alright I'm on it" He said. He pushed a button on his phone. then got out of the car. He walked to the back of the car and looked at Monica. "still don't think your ready to see what your about to see, but you have given choice it looks like, I will pull up all the information you will need in route" Athrun said looking at her

Monica grinned when Gunny turned around and gave in, at least that is what it seemed. She had to control herself from rolling her eyes when he said that she has never seen what he has. She has seen a lot of things, of course a soldier could see things much worse, but really how bad could be. She wasn't a girly type of girl, she doesn't throw up at the site of blood, nor does scream when a roach crawls across her foot.
Though trough the years she has seen things that has bothered her, things that gave her trouble sleeping at night. Most of these cases involved children, yeah, the detective had a soft spot for children, and just being in a room imagining what could have happened to the poor child involved was a little too over whelming. Of course she held it in, she held everything in. Monica had always tried her best to not let her emotions to get the best of the. That's what got people killed, and it is also a sign of weakness, something Monica, wasn't prepared to show to anyone.
She followed Gunny out the door and watched as he conversed with someone on his lap top. She wasn't sure exactly what was going on, she assumed her would just tell her what happened that night. She walked slowly to wards the car and stood and waited, she raised a brow at his next comment, then grinned. "Don't worry honey, I think I can handle it. " Her smirk widened as she opened the door, then climbed inside.
She waited fro Athrun to get situated before she spoke again. "So your a private detective, is that it?" Of course, it made sense. It would explain why he was at the place, but it may also mean that he in fact 'didn't' kill those people. This made Monica feel a little at ease, but not completely. She could be wrong after all, wouldn't be the first time; Although she would never admit it.
