The Devil’s Gate opened and, quite literally, all hell broke loose. Sam died. Dean sold his soul to bring him back but is it the real Sam? Dean’s year is running out and, with an apocalyptic war brewing, can Sam save the world and his brother? If not, who will he choose?

Hunters are preparing for the fight that looks to be futile. No one knows what exactly escaped the gate that night but the forces of Good know they are greatly outnumbered. Alliances are being forged on both sides, trying to strengthen their lines. What side will you choose? Who will you save? Who will you kill?

What are you willing to sacrifice for the greater good?

Species
Werewolf
Power
Psychic (again, not sure if it's allowed with being a were already.)

His abilities are hard to put in one box. He can't predict anything, nor does he have any 'visions.' He's very sensitive to people's emotions and pain, but if he wants to know what they're thinking, he will have to 'break' into their minds and that usually doesn't go unnoticed. The person who's privacy he's invading will experience a sudden headache or even migraine, depending on how rough Lane rummages through his/hers 'personal archives.'

If he is too rough, his victim could pass out and by doing so, cut the connection. It won't be the first time he accidentally caused someone to fall into a coma. Whether that other person has a psychic ability makes a difference as well. Strong psychics might be able to block him, making it impossible to get a read on them.

Other people's feelings have a great influence on his own, so to prevent being clubbed by tons of emotions rolling off people every day, Steven puts barriers up, to 'guard the fort' (a.k.a. keep him sane.) He can sense people before they enter a house, and he can sense other psychics as well. He can establish a 'link' with people he cares about, enabling him to sense when something is wrong with them, even if they're miles away.

His psychic ability is a delicate thing, so anything from headtrauma to simply being stressed will have an effect on his mental abilities. Something severe like a concussion can cause him to go 'offline' entirely, making him feel like a puppet with his strings cut.

Worse than physical injuries are psychological ones.
With Steven, psychological issues have a tendency to get worse rapidly, because the more unstable he becomes, the less effective his barriers will be. This allows the feelings of other people to slam into his defenses, which can be downright dangerous if he finds himself in a public place. Also, weak mental defenses mean he's an easy target for other psychics.

At full moon, he changes into a werewolf and the effect that change has on his psychic ability is nothing short of harrowing. It feels like having cotton removed from your head. Everything is intensified, including the ability to read people. However, it's harder to put up barriers which means he's easy to influence. Angry people will feed his rage, sad people will make him feel suicidal, etc. It's very dangerous for him to be around people at that point, for them and for himself.

Celebrity Claim
Victor Webster
Eye Color
green
Hair Color
jet black
Height
6'3" ft.
Weight
180 lbs
Distinguishing Marks
Steven's back is littered with scars that he aquired when he was a kid.
Tattoos
none, Steven's scars are his tattoo, only they actually have a story to them.
Piercings
none
Best Feature
His physical strength. Because he does martial arts and parkour, and has been doing that for a long time, he's strong, agile and a good fighter.
Worst Feature
His attraction to violence.
Personal Style
Steven is a simple person and according to him, a simple person doesn't require a sophisticated wardrobe. Jeans, sneakers, a cotton crewneck and a beat up leather jacket to keep him warm are typical examples of what he wears in his free time.

Steven doesn't care about making 'a statement' with his clothes; he just wants to be able to move well in them. The only reoccurring theme to discover is that he prefers dark colors over bright ones.

He hates suits, but when he's required to wear one, it's expensive because he can't stand uncomfortable clothes. Other than that, he couldn't care less about brands. He does care about quality, so he's not one to go for the cheapest stuff, per se.

Likes
- Large cities, especially the anonymity of them.
- Music: he often annoys his neighbours with his love for rock.
- a KTM Duke motorcycle, which allows him to get around quick even in traffic jammed NY.
- ps3 games: still a child at heart.
- books
- weapons
- black humor

Dislikes
- know it all smartasses. Because there can be only one.
- water: after almost drowning as a kid, Lane has lost all fond feelings for the wet stuff. He can swim, but like a cat he doesn't like to do it.
- Drugs: Tequila is as heavy as it gets for him.
- People who wallow in self pity.

Strengths
- Physical strength. Contrary to popular belief, instead of fueling it, Steven started doing martial arts to calm his fiery nature. He has gotten familiar with many systems, and his fighting style is a blend of techniques from all of them. His enthusiasm for the sport shows: he is agile and coordinated. To fatten his wallet and keep his reflexes sharp, Steven participates in underground fights. The thrill and adrenaline of a fight that could lead to permanent disability or worse keeps him coming back.

- Creative mind: Aside from being a generally resourceful person, Steven has an artistic side to him. He paints in his free time. Once in a while he sells a couple under an alias.

- Perseverance: when Steven sets out do something, he doesn't waver until it's done.

- Loyalty: Steven is loyal as a dog. This also means he expects the same from the people he's loyal to. When betrayed, he is very bitter and chances of rekindling any form of relationship are next to impossible. He's very curt when it comes to friendships. He cherishes good friends and cuts contact with what he calls leechers in the way a snake would shrug off dead skin.

- Direct: with Steven, you find out very quickly whether he likes you or not. If you ask his opinion, be prepared because he doesn't shy away from stating exactly what he thinks even though that might get people's feelings hurt.

Weaknesses
- Steven's attraction to violence has gotten him in a lot of trouble. It is something that excites and repulses him at the same time.

- stubbornness: he can be very hardheaded, which usually manifests in a bad way when it comes to injuries. He's hates hospitals and unless there's a bone sticking out of his arm, he won't go.

- instability: though Steven tries to find peace with himself, he probably never will.

- confidence: He might appear confident, but beneath the surface there are many insecurities to be found. They surface when he talks about himself.

- secretive: It's often that when meeting new people, Steven walks away knowing a lot about them and them knowing little to nothing about him. This closed off attitude has made that he never keeps a girlfriend for long.

Dreams
- Steven still wants to get even with the people that hurt him when he was 12.
- On the other hand, he hopes that one day, he'll not be driven by the anger that seems like poison in his veins.

Fears
To cross the line that separates good from bad and not knowing how to go back.
Pet Peeve
Women rattling on about superficial things. Steven realizes he's far from perfect himself, but hearing females yak on about things like hair color, manicures and boy toys irritates him to no end.
Worst Habit
Beating people up in underground fights.
Biggest Secret
What happened when he was kidnapped as a kid.

Steven is a simple person. He embodies the word violent in every way it can be interpreted. That doesn't mean he can't be calm. It simply means that even when he's calm, you can sense something stirring beneath the surface. He's passionate and loyal to the people he cares about and a bad enemy to have. His cynical nature gives him a warped sense of humor that not everyone appreciates.

He will watch a person until they start to become nervous of him, and then the smooth surface of his face will crack into a smile that melts all those anxieties away. Steven likes being trusted, although rarely ever trusts anyone.

In his expressions, he's very colorful, from his deep voice to the gestures he uses to accentuate his words. Despite his wild personality Steven can also be found reading for hours. The biggest treasure in his home is a huge bookcase filled with knowledge and fiction.

____________________

Steven had a relatively normal childhood for a child of the seventies. His mother Alicia was a young and pretty, doe eyed blonde, who caught the eye of many men. Knowing this, she dated a lot and the inevitable happened: she became pregnant. Steven's father left her as soon as he heard about her pregnancy. Out of a job and left to fend for herself, she barely got around.

The first 6 years of Steven's life were vivid because they were not happy ones. Though merely a boy, he sensed his mother's negative feelings towards him. It did not help that he had inherited his father's dark hair and light eyes. Then in 1980, Alicia found a new boyfriend in Tom Youngblood, and the two embarked on journey that consisted of partying and drugs. Unable to find a nanny, Steven was often dragged along, where other 'responsible' people tended to him. He got his first snort of cocaine when he was just 6 years old. Reacting badly to it, his parents vowed to do better. It was around that age that his abilities started to manifest.

His brother Daniel was born in 1981, with blond hair and brown eyes just like his mother. Independent at the age of barely 7, Steven participated in the care of his little brother. The two became inseparable and Steven played both the role of parent and brother.

All changed when Steven was kidnapped at age 12 while cycling home from a soccer game. He was found on the side of the road a year later, littered in cuts and bruises, with his hair shaved.

Though he was gone for 'merely' a year, the ordeal had a huge impact on the daily life. Whenever full moon came, Steven changed, sporting claws and an enhanced set of teeth that normal humans didn't have. Alicia and Tom, who had become more responsible parents after their son's disappearance, didn't know how to handle his return. Instead of trying to find out how he got infected and what really went down in that year, they chose to ignore the entire ordeal and encouraged Steven to get back into school.

Meanwhile, he was plagued by nightmares and anger attacks. At school his senses were often overloaded by other people's emotions and though he was bright and enjoyed the subjects, Steven found it hard to cope.

As he grew older he became more violent, most evident from all the streetfights he got himself in and the brawls that occurred at school. It didn't take long before strange things started to happen. Bullies ended up in coma after a falling out with Steven and it didn't take long before people started avoiding him. He was dubbed "witch" and "devil."

One evening, at full moon, he ended up ripping open the face of the guy he was fighting. When Steven woke up the next morning the implications of what he did hit him full force: in his werewolf form, he had let the guy bleed to death. In newspapers, the event was merely labelled as 'animal attack' so he got away clean, but crushing guilt ate away at him.

Daniel, who had become a calm, thoughtful boy with lots of ambition had little hold on his brother. As time went along, Daniel grew less sympathetic for the self destructive path Steven was on and the two started growing apart. The relationship with his mother and stepdad also grew more strained with the day, so after graduation, Steven moved out.

Taking up martial arts classes, --the only thing he was good at-- took some of the edge of his wild personality. He grew interested in the history and culture behind it and found out it was easier to block other people's emotions when he was calm. Using parkour to move around quickly, he found out a new way to make running interesting ánd to get out whenever situations got hairy.

Occasionally he called his brother, who told him of his ambition to become a doctor. The only problem was that his parents couldn't afford the tuition. Working different jobs, Steven secretly saved money for his brother's "trustfund." When Daniel landed a scholarship that paid for the tuition, he decided to use a portion of the saved money for his own future.

Currently he is working as an English teacher at an uptown high school. It doesn't pay much, but the job is low key enough to prevent causing a blip on anyone's radar. Steven is sure there are more people like him out there, but he doesn't know where to start searching.

"You're still fighting, aren't you?" Steven didn't need to be psychic to pick up the underlying concern in his brother's voice. Shrugging, he lifted his cup of coffee with "grumpy old man" printed on it. The ink had faded, but he remembered having a big laugh at his 35th birthday. Nothing seemed very funny anymore though. He hoped the caffeine and 3 sugars would help the situation.

"What if I am?" Swallowing the liquid, he felt some energy return to his tired body. "Did you come all the way over here to berate me for not being a good little boy?" The lowering of his voice informed Daniel that he now found himself in quicksand. He should have known better than to enter with an accusation.

"No, I came to see how you were doing." Why could it never be easy between them? "The bruises, the pale skin and your bloodshot eyes are usually not part of your make-up routine."

Lane laughed, a genuine laugh that brightened his face. "I'm naturally beautiful." The darkhaired man looked like shit. His normally shiny black hair looked dull, and he had a scratch on his neck that had also become a bruise. The turtleneck he was wearing covered up a lot, so Daniel could only imagine what the rest of his body looked like. He had noticed Steven’s slightly hunched posture when he came in.

"You're probably the most gossiped subject in school." Daniel didn't understand how his brother could keep his violent life hidden from the students.

"I can be quite boring when I want to. They’ll think twice before accusing me for participating in a cage fight." He gestured for Daniel to sit down. His brother had the habit of keeping his coat on and remain standing during his visits, as if he was getting ready to leave at any moment. Had he been in a patient mood, he’d simply solve the problem by turning the heater up until it was obvious a coat was unnecessary.

“What does it feel like?” Steven frowned at the question. “What do you mean?” His voice dropped slightly and his eyes narrowed.

“The fights. Working at the hospital, I see guys younger than you coming in with broken ribs, concussions or worse. I don’t get the appeal.” Daniel remembered one in particular, who had gotten into a knife fight. His entire back was littered with cuts and the guy was screaming bloody murder. Steven had endured similar injuries, but he seemed to revel in them, as if he felt he deserved them. He never told him exactly what happened back then.

Steven sighed, leaning back in his chair. “If I knew I’d tell you.” It was the thrill of standing there, feeling the fear pulsing through his veins, knowing that he might not make it out in one piece. Looking at Daniels worried puppy dog eyes, he knew he was never going to understand. He and his brother were opposites. From their contrasting looks to their personalities. Daniel set out to heal people, while he constantly got himself and others hurt.

“You talk to dad lately?” Now it was Daniels turn to frown. Steven hadn’t been in touch with his parents for years. Tom had suffered a heart attack and still remained in the hospital. “Is he alright?” Acid green eyes collided with brown ones and Daniel knew Steven had known.

“You knew something was wrong, didn’t you? How?” Steven gave him a sad smile. “There’s more to this world than what you see, doc.” Even though they were sitting in the same room, it suddenly seemed as if they were worlds apart. Daniel had heard about the rumors circulating his brother when he was a teenager. He was led to believe they were merely the result of Steven’s explosive nature and quick fists. Being a rational minded person, it was hard to believe the truth could be anything else. But he'd always suspected. Just like he'd questioned why his brother was always out at full moon. He'd just been afraid of the answer. And still was.

“He’s had a heartattack. He’s been in the hospital for a while and he might not make it.” There wasn’t much love lost between Steven and Tom, though his father did ask for him.

“I’ll pay him a visit soon.” Maybe their broken family wasn’t beyond saving. “And I’ll bring a couple of those hula dolls.” Daniel snorted. Hula dolls were his mother’s obsession. His father hated them. “You’re supposed to encourage him to keep on living, not speeding up the process.” That was the only thing Steven was really good at, it seemed.

“Don’t worry little brother. You do what you’re good at and I’ll stay away from the dark side.” An awkward silence filled the air. Daniel broke it. “I have to go, catch some sleep.” Steven watched as his brother rubbed his eyes. “Take care, Anakin.” Steven walked him to the door. “Sure thing, Padmé”, he drawled. They were at odds once, but that innocent joke seemed to have returned their equilibrium.

Good Day Steven,
Your application has been looked over by a few admin's this application is very original with the duel of the combination.

We are okay with it, but a bit of his powers as a psychic are a little power playish like the getting into to peoples heads so please be sure to get the characters permission before using that. Drop them a pm, or speak with the player on their messenger whatever they use.

Thank you kindly for the wait and patience during the holiday weekend. Any questions feel free to pm an admin.
